This class takes you on a journey from coffee’s humble beginnings to the major commodity it has become, a source of livelihood for many farmers and a morning ritual enjoyed by millions around the world!
About the speaker
Mr. Arnold Cadag
Founding President
PINOY COFFEE CLUB VIETNAM
Arnold is a graduate of Agribusiness Management from the University of the Philippines. He started his coffee journey as a Senior Sales Executive of Gourmet Coffee in 2007. He was one of the leads in handling the biggest coffee clients in the Philippines. In 2010, he moved to Figaro Coffee Company and managed the institutional coffee sales while assisting in the corporate social responsibilities of the company.
By 2012, his family moved to Malaysia and worked for Single Origin Sdn Bhd as its Regional Sales Manager. Four years after, he co-founded Blackbox Espresso Tech, a coffee machine technical company that provides maintenance and servicing to all brands of commercial espresso equipment while selling roasted beans from Melbourne. Simultaneneously, he and his partners operated different cafes such as PSI Coffee and Calle Verde Cafe.
As a community builder, Arnold is the founding President of Pinoy Barista KL
( 2015 ) and Pinoy Coffee Club VN ( 2020 ).
He is currently a freelance green bean coffee trader while staying in Vietnam and also serves as a Coffee Ambassador for Caphesach.Org.
As a coffee educator, he is an honorary trainer of Barista Guild Asia and a licensed professional barista.
Arnold is a staunch advocate of specialty coffee.
